Hi, I’m Mari — the heart, hands, and creative spirit behind Mari Makes Magic.

I’m 45 years young, living in beautiful (and yes, let’s be honest… expensive 😅) Naples, Florida, where I’m building my dream one handmade creation at a time.

I’m a creator by passion and a professional by experience. For more than 20 years, I’ve built my career in both the legal and financial worlds, working as a Real Estate Paralegal, serving as a Controller, and gaining extensive experience in accounting, organization, and business operations.

Throughout my career, I’ve always been the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes — whether it’s complex real estate closings, financial management, or building systems that help businesses thrive.

But creativity has always lived in my heart.

💕 The Story Behind Mari Makes Magic

Mari Makes Magic was born from one of the most difficult seasons of my life.

I was unexpectedly let go from my job as a paralegal just two days before my second back surgery.

Facing a 10–12 week recovery, I knew I needed something that would keep my mind active, lift my spirits, and help me focus on healing instead of being stuck in bed.

That’s when crafting became more than just a hobby.

It became therapy.
It became healing.
It became purpose.

Creating gave me a reason to get up every day, stay positive, and pour my energy into something beautiful.

What started as a way to help myself recover quickly turned into something so much bigger — a business built from resilience, creativity, and heart.

🌴 A Little More About Me

I’m a true Florida girl at heart.

I grew up in the Florida Keys and lived there my entire life until leaving for college. The bright colors, tropical vibes, sunshine, and coastal energy inspire so much of the playful and colorful feel behind my brand.

I’m also a proud mom to my two amazing grown sons, Kristian and Frankie, and dog mom to my sweet 6-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Apollo.

Family means everything to me, and that love extends beyond my own home.
